Hi I'm Alex. I live in Grantham, Lincs. with my partner Nicola and a cat called Cleo (or sometimes '@*!$$%'). In my spare time I work as a graphic designer and hope that one day will be able to gain full-time employment in the industry.

I have always been interested in art. When my Dad brought me a digital camera and Photoshop Elements for Christmas, in 2003, my eyes were opened to the the power of digital imaging. Since then, I've built up skills through experimentation as well as studying magazine and web tutorials.

Although at first I only used Adobe Photoshop to edit images, I moved on to learn to use Adobe Illustrator for vector graphics. The next step was to get a graphics tablet which opened a world of opportunities with programs like Corel Painter that simulates a 'real' painters environment.

While I studied at Durham University I produced countless posters, flyers, booklets and websites for plays, social events and student activities. This has given me a great base of experience that I now continue to build on. I guess you could say I'm extremely enthusiastic about art and graphics.
